Thank you so, so much for this! I'll dive into all the tracks I don't know yet to round up my own personal list! Big props for Phoebe Bridgers being twice in the top 10. I'd think vote splitting would be much harsher to her than it is. I'm also very happy for Yves Tumor's placement in the top 10: ho...

In PerĂș has a fanpage of Facebook: Rock Achorao' , they make a List with the best songs of each year, are more of 1 Person, and sometimes invite other people from latin american indie blogs to colaborate in the list. My english is so bad, but is elegible? This list would not be eligible. For a list...

It is really hard to make an awful list. Congratulations RS! You did it, AGAIN! I dunno. I think it's a pretty great list! All stuff I like or can appreciate acknowledging. But to each their own! 1 or 2 entries for rock (excluding AC/DC and Fleetwood Mac, btw what are they doing in EOY lists? It's ...

I don't disagree with you on WAP, but I don't understand your take that it is differentiated from Bodak Yellow topping this list in 2017. There are a lot of songs I haven't heard on the bottom half of this list that seem interesting. As for the top part of the list, this is just the direction that ...

Re: EOY 2020 - Consequence of Sound (US)

Ooh La La might be the worst song on RJT4. That hook is just so annoying. What a strange pick. Looking at these songs lists so far, it's as if Jessie Ware didn't release any music this year. I was hoping songs from What's Your Pleasure would be all over these lists. I had a little walk through Rate...

Also, a question: how should I handle Instrumentals by Adrianne Lenker? I've never seen it on its own in these lists, and whenever it is placed it's alongside Songs, so it lowers everything below it by one place. Should I combine them? From what I understand, instrumentals is a companion piece to s...

Is Canadian magazine Exclaim eligible? Their website's Alexa rank is 113,016, so well within the margin. The website includes a lot of reviews, and there is a printed version, though it is not exclusively about music as they talk about all things culture. Their lists aren't on their website yet, but...

Looks like it may be a list from an individual journalist on the BBC website, not the cumulative votes of the BBC Radio 6 Music DJs that is normally included. Exactly. The entire article is credited to Nick Levine, so I guess they are only his choices. He calls himself a "pop culture and LGTBQ writ...

Not gonna lie, I felt like NME was kinda losing it in the last few years with weird and out of touch lists (they were pretty much the only ones with BOTH Gallaghers in their list last year if I recall) but this song list might be one of my favorite so far. This list is very interesting, with a lot of unique choices. I think Stereogum said it best concerning 2018. Devotion in the top 20 is a pleasant surprise. Maybe it's because it came out in the summer and I didn't pay too much attention then but I didn't feel it received the same kind of attention than, say, Beach House or Father John Misty. I'm also a bit surprised by Courtney Barnett: I was a bit disappo...

January albums (I know RTJ were Christmas 2016 officially, but the physical release at least was January) always seem to suffer from being overlooked on end of year lists to some degree, unless they're a total phenomenon like Merriweather Post Pavilion.
