The Velvet Underground – She’s My Best Friend: 6

When we had Lisa Says from the same album just a little while back some claimed it was a lesser song of VU. I didn't agree. This however, is probably my least favorite of the album, but still worth a listen.

Garbage - A Stroke of Luck: 7
I thought of this as a lesser track from that album, but listening to it three times actually made me appreciate it more. It doesn't have that immediate rock appeal of their best work, but it build a different, almost sexy atmosphere.

The Ekseption versus Sergei Rachmaninoff match-up is rather funny (rockified classical pastiche versus real classical music). Obviously the faux-classical is not going to win to the real deal.

First Aid Kit – In the Hearts of Men: 7
A typical First Aid Kit song, but I just really like their style. There is something ethereal about them that manages to also be grounded, which shouldn't work, yet does. This doesn't stand out among their best songs, but there is still a lot to like.

Also, there's a hint in the music itself - the ending of Spiral of Ants starts to replicate the beginning of Lifetime Achievement Award, as if the album is going to start all over again. Deep Purple - Burn: 8

One of those songs I'm surprised didn't get more votes. It is a low-key hard rock classic after all. Deep Purple around these years can do no wrong with me. A bit on the proggy side, but still retaining a certain amount of cool.

How are the bonus tracks of Spirit Phone handled?
