I will second the praise for Agnes Obel - Myopia. I discovered Aventine I think through a BMAA and this new album is even better, easily a top ten of the year candidate.

I only know one person who got COVID. But I live in Massachusetts and all my friends and family are computer nerds and/or super anxious types who socialize in small group settings and follow mask and distancing advice.

Well known artists also get major critic score inflation when their music is even half decent, cause it sells more when you're on the side of people the audience knows about.
