I have to agree that Elvis hasn't aged well but it's due to my opinion that the little known artists he emulated grew in recognition over the years and Elvis just doesn't seem like the leader of even 50's rock and roll or even rockabilly let alone the king of all rock and roll because of that.

I only read user reviews on RYM these days. I still look at metacritic and Pitchfork for ratings, but I never read critic reviews anymore. User reviews are more honest.

Wow, the new Madonna album really blows. I wasn't expecting much but she's always good for a couple decent songs. That has to be the worst album I've listened to in full in years.
