Re: Rock'n'Folk 555 Albums (FR)

I compared this list with the '99 version, and there are lots of differences. It seems like a new list to me. A completely revised version, just like any new list from NME and the likes. I only have a few memories of the first two all-time lists, but from what I remember, I agree with you. Actually...

R.I.P. Kim Fowley

Cult rock singer and producer Kim Fowley, best remembered I think as the manager of the Runaways in the 1970s, passed away on January 15 at the age of 75. I'm unfamiliar with his work, so I leave the honor of writing an obituary to someone else, if someone feels like it. https://www.youtube.com/watc...

Re: Rock'n'Folk 555 Albums (FR)

A quick note: I briefly checked the magazine in a library and I can confirm that Rock'n'Folk considers this list an update of their previous all-time 1999 list, which they claim was itself an update of their first 1995 list, if it's of any importance for Henrik's statistical calculations. I didn't h...

Just a note: Marc Seberg is actually the name of a band, not a person. Thanks for posting this lagire. Well, I'm relieved to know that It Takes a Nation will remain the highest-ranked hip-hop album. It deserves its spot since 1988 and as good as MBDTF is, it's just not enough yet. That's a masterpiece, of course, but I think it's not as good as Public Enemy's.
