I'd submit a list.
It should probably curve down faster than the artist's poll, because people probably have fewer directors they care about in general than bands.

Voyage to the Moon is kind of disturbing from a modern perspective.
Let's go to the moon, and immediately start murdering the people who live there.

And now for another edition of my albums list. Dan Bern-Songs of Fall 4.5/5 Listened to that one today. I agree it's really good, it has a Dylanesque lyrical quality to it. Nice work with the seedings. My only concern is that if you can give different amounts of points based on your feelings, some people will stack more points against bands they dislike they are concerned might beat their favorites even if they don't feel strongly about the band they are voting for. It's obvious what's going to be #1 (A certain self-proclaimed deity, hobbit spouse and vaginal reupholstery expert) but the fight for #2 could be tight. A lot of contenders. Vertigo is in my top five of all time but North By Northwest is one of those films whose critical appeal I just don't get. I definitely like the new Iceage. Whereas with most albums I hear for the first time though I have a pretty good idea whether I like it within the first few songs, Iceage took me most of the length of the album to warm up to. This list has some great films on it, but you have to view it from a Hollywood sentimentalist point of view. This list values big productions, big budgets, and lots of tugging on heartstrings. If you're looking for Hollywood films successful at doing that, this is the list for you.

Green Day and NIN are probably shoo-ins, Lou Reed is also clearly likely due to his death. And it's hard to argue N.W.A. doesn't deserve to be in.
