Can we really predict this? Kanye, Frank Ocean and Kendrick Lamar are certainly the people who will get the most critical love if they release an album on the level of their previous album, but if they release a lackluster album they'll be nitpicked the hell out of. What I like to do is elicit people to ask for an extension if they want one. If somebody is working on a list and just needs a little more time, give it to them. Otherwise, move the game along.

You don't think non-English directors will factor in? This is a 2/3 European website. I would imagine names like Godard, Bergman, Tarkovsky, etc would also factor very highly.

Ever since I got into running I've been dreading sitting in a theater for 2-3 hours straight.

I'll have a much better 2014 list in six months when all the best films of the year come out on Netflix.

Since the AM Mega-critic list is a few months old let's just not use it and instead say, if the album is already popular on the board, don't nominate it. Use your best judgment. :)
