Re: Albums of 2015

Haven't heard any of the bigger albums yet. I did hear the last Doomtree, though. Doomtree are a rap group based from Minneapolis. They have a tendeny to make haotic beats and songs without choruses. With their latest albums, most of them at least have hooks. They are an original group, so at least ...

Interesting list. The previous poster mentioned getting nothing out of Tree Of Life. Their #3 The Master was like that for me,and I'd loved everything PTA had done to that point. Didn't really get Inherent Vice either. Some of my favourites since 2010 aren't on there, not that I'm too surprised with...

Odd list. I'll be honest with you, I admired Boyhood but I didn't really "enjoy" it all that much. To me, it's a mild curiosity. Tree of life is probably the only film to give me NOTHING. Even the worst movies I've ever seen gave me something to think about. But this one lft me empty. Lets...

Re: Non-music or film related polls, vote for your choices

The only one of these I'd be totally on board is TV shows. I feel fiction is too broad and too apples-to-oranges to make a good poll out of. Says the guy running the classical poll, but I feel classical is easier to categorize. If we did just novels or poetry, I'd be fine. I think I've only ever pla...

I don't hate the song as much as you guys do. What I don't get is why Kanye isn't, you know, rapping. He wasn't on "Only One" either, so I don't know if he's trying to expand his musical scope or something. I think the acoustic guitar is a nice touch (the synthesizer part was kind of anno...

Can we count the full works (all the movements in a symphony for example) or can we take just one movement.
