The 1st that comes to my mind is Sufjan Stevens' The Predatory Wasp of The Palisades is Out to Get Us. I immediately loved this album, but even 2 years after discovering it, this wouldn't have been on my top 5 songs of the album.
Now it sits easily in my top 50 songs of all time.
