Yeah I did see the film in 3D, and thought it was one of the first times where the 3D was actually effective and not just a gimmick to raise ticket prices.

Well sure. Jazz and blues are very different genres, but sometimes jazz incorporates blues characteristics into their sound, like what you posted. The two artists I posted are known for doing that as well, although maybe the examples I gave you didn't really demonstrate that.

It definitely has a nice groove to it. I for one am quite a fan of vocal jazz/blues music. I've studied a lot of it in my coursework.

Beyonce released a surprised album at midnight without advertising or any announcement. It's not streaming anywhere so I haven't been able to listen, but it sure is a bold idea!

I'm expecting Nepenthe by Julianna Barwick to have the same fate that Anais Mitchell's Hadestown had a few years ago. Showers of praise froms critics but lacking appearance in EOY lists due to it's obscurity and niche market.

Yeah MBDTF will probably be in the top 100 at least, maybe top 50, and deservedly so. Yeezus will probably be ranked at AM close to Late Registration though.
