I haven't done an especially good job keeping up to date with this year's new music, but i'd say "The Satanist" by Behemoth is my album of the year thus far :music-rockon:

St. Vincent.

At first I didn't connect with it the way I immediately connected with Actor and Strange Mercy, but it grew.

Though Neneh Cherry - Blank Project is nipping at its heals.

I haven't heard that many albums either, but so far I would go with Cloud Nothings - Here and Nowhere Else by a fair margin. It's not out yet but I have a press release (which reminds me I have 2 weeks left to write a review)

I haven't heard too many albums. Band of Skulls-Himalayan is my most anticipated so far, but as of what I heard, Beck-Blue Moon and John Butler Trio-Blame it on Me were exceptional. I think Have a Nice Life-The Unnatural World is about their caliber though.

Burn Your Fire for No Witness. What a grower! It took months and it seems to never tire ever since. Neneh Cherry and St Vincent as honorable mentions.

For me, my favorites would be "Benji" and "St. Vincent", which are the only two albums from 2014 *that I've heard) I'd call excellent.

That's really cool! I'd read more on the page, but I sadly know very little French.
