I'm surprised Trouble Will Find Me isn't in the top 500. That has to be one of the obvious favorites, along with The Smile Sessions which is basically a superset of an album that, if it were released in 1967 like it should have been, would be very ineligible.

All my nominations appear in the last third alphabetically, just by chance. About halfway through the list I was thinking, "Where the hell are my nominations?"

That's an interesting list, with some albums I would have included but didn't for various reasons (The Age of Adz because I figured much people already know it, Acid Rap because I'm bored of seeing great rap albums wrecked by average rock albums...), some albums with all time great songs (C'Mon, Post-Nothing...), great recent discoveries like Meat Puppets II, some albums by people who obviously don't care having a chance to see the 2nd round (Locust Abortion Technician, Monoliths & Dimensions, The Money Store...), some albums I'm pretty sure I already discovered through MAA (Souvlaki, Hex...) a few albums I don't really like by artists I like and of course a lot of stuff I have no idea how they sound.
Immunity vs Discreet Music must be one of the best and calmest match up we have ever seen !
I didn't expect Yank Crime to have much chances to go through round 1 but since it's facing a Burzum album, I am quite optimistic
Gorillaz is pretty much facing 2 of the big favorites of the poll right away!

Yes, everyone got either 5 or 6 in (or potentially more if someone else nominated the same album). There were 24 submitters and 127 open spots = avg. 5.3 albums per submitter. For the first time, no albums were excluded due to ranking limits, primarily the result of a huge amount of unranked albums being nominated.
