Hello fellow AMers, and welcome to the 2016 edition of the Acclaimed Music Forum Artists Poll! This is the 4th edition of this poll in the forum’s history, and with so much new blood having joined, it is about time to revise this survey and celebration of our favorite bands and performers!
First however, the previous list from 2013 as a warm-up and example for comparison. I have also placed the 2010 and 2008 rankings for said artists in the brackets next to each artist:

So, anyways, the turn out for the previous lists have been at most 39 (and last time in 2013 it was just 35). As far as I’m concerned, we can all do much better than this. I really hope to get as many consistent members voting in this as possible, to really reflect our community and its diversity of tastes and preferences. If we can break the 50 voter mark, I will most definitely be pleased!
So, regardless of the above lists, remember to vote for your favorite artists, not for the “greatest” or “most influential”. Pick the artists whose music really means the most to you!
The formula that will be used is:
points = 100 * tan (11/90) / (tan ( (10+rank)/90) )
At the beginning of every week on Sundays, I will post an update on the numbers of submissions. I will also, starting immediately today, blast tons of users with a PM alerting them to this thread.
The deadline for your Top 100 Artists lists is June 30, by Midnight! PLEASE PM ME YOUR LISTS
