LCD Soundsystem sounds kind of cheesy with this track, unfortunately. I like the rest of the album, but Bruce Springsteen can easily beat out this one.
Dusty Springfield - Just a Little Lovin'
vs.
OutKast - Gasoline Dreams
The Dusty Springfield track is, IMO, the most boring of all this week. Outkast is better than I remember it to be, and hence it wins.
Joy Division - Day of the Lords
vs.
Wu-Tang Clan - Bring da Ruckus
A close matchup.
The Beatles - Fixing a Hole
vs.
The Beatles - Think for Yourself
The first one plays out like a nursery rhyme to me.
Miles Davis - Freddie Freeloader
vs.
The Jesus and Mary Chain - Taste the Floor
The closest match-up this week. Kind of Blue would easily blow Psychocandy out of the water as an album, but out of context, Freddie Freeloader sounds very empty.

It's been a long time since I listened to In Rainbows. I think I remembered it being more impressive, honestly.
Talking Heads - The Great Curve

John Coltrane - Resolution
Another tough match-up. I like the Talking Heads, but this is not their best, while Coltrane is at the top of his game here.
Pink Floyd - Brain Damage
vs.
Van Morrison - Slim Slow Slider
Pink Floyd's track sounds like it's going nowhere, for no reason. It's not bad, but it sounds more like it's designed to impress. On the other hand, nearly every song on Astral Weeks is near perfect.

I really like the lyrics of this one.
Just a Little Lovin
As much as I absolutely love Outkast, I liked the vocals and tone of this song better.
Day of the Lords
Still not too much of a Wu-Tang fan.
Fixing a Hole
This song never fails to put me in a good mood.
Freddie Freeloader
Miles is my favorite jazz artist. Even if they're instrumental tracks, I like his instrumentals.
Videotape
Can't go wrong with Radiohead.
The Great Curve
This matchup was just horrendous! I had to pick between two tracks basically on the same level, but great in different ways. I had to resort to Talking Heads because it was catchier.
Brain Damage
"Brain Damage" is not invincible in this competition, but it's pretty close. I see a clear cut path to the round of 16, at least for me.
