Beastie Boys - Check Your Head
and DEFINITELY Manic Street Preacher's Motorcycle Emptiness.
Pavement shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as Sonic Youth and the Pixies.

Gotta listen to Kiko before making the album choice.

Re: 1992 song and album poll tie-breaker
Damn!!!! This is the second time this year the Manics get screwed over by an inferior, mediocre band. Last time Keane was named one of the top 15 Britpop bands over MSP.
Re: 1992 song and album poll tie-breaker
I admit Here is a great song, but no way is it as good as Motorcycle Emptiness
Re: 1992 song and album poll tie-breaker
Funny, that pretty much sums up how I feel about the MSPs. Amazing how we all have different opinions, isn't it?Rodneyontheblock wrote: an inferior, mediocre band.
Re: 1992 song and album poll tie-breaker
I have never listened to the MSPs before and I like Pavement quite a bit, but I definitely prefer Motorcycle Emptiness to Here, which is like my 7th or 8th favorite track off of Slanted and Enchanted.
I hope it offers consolation to the real MSP fans that I probably would not have discovered this excellent song were it not for this poll.
