Random Rules - August Selection (Pts 1 & 2)

So we have 9 random lists entered for this month.

All the number 1's and number 2's have been grouped together below.

To participate in choosing which songs make the "Ultimate Random Jukebox", simply list your three picks for each group.

After 48 hours, I'll tally the results and list parts 3 & 4, etc.

For example, my ballot may look like this:
1: Simon & Garfunkel - Wednesday Morning,3AM, Led Zeppelin - Bring It On Home, Pavement - Filmore Jive
2. Grateful Dead - Friend of the Devil (Live), The Cure - Just Like Heaven, The Beatles - Rocky Raccoon

Again, the song with the top votes in each group will make the final list, which I will publish on Spotify for posterity, then continue adding to as the months go by.

Comments are always welcome, but not necessary. You don't even have to have heard all the songs (though personally I will try to hear as much as possible), just pick the songs you'd most like to make the Ultimate Random list. This is entirely a non-pressure contest!

I listened to a Dick's Pick - Live at the Spectrum 1972 for the Dead, but I like pretty much any version of Friend Of The Devil. 16 of the 18 songs were on Spotify and made a superb mix!

I don't like being the conservative voter but I genuinely love Rocky Raccoon and Just Like Heaven. Random did a great selection for this round, I could have done without The Grateful Dead but the other 8 songs were all good. My 3rd place could have gone to iamamiwhoami or Laura Marling on a different day.

We could use one more ballot for Group 1 as we're facing a tie right now...

Group 2 is going to The Cure's "Just Like Heaven", scoring 10 votes out of 10 possible (runner up = "Rocky Raccoon" with 6 votes). Clearly a fan favorite and the first official entry into the AM Super Random Rules Jukebox.

Vote now for Group 1 if you haven't already or I'll have to run a tiebreak tomorrow morning.
