Question: why is Reach Out, I'll Be There so beloved? I mean, I've always thought it was a fine song, but I've never understood why it's considered a classic (or, for that matter, how it toppled Respect in round 1).

Albums

7. Marvin Gaye - What's Going On vs. 6. Prince - Purple Rain - the only difficult choice of the week
1. Stevie Wonder - Innervisions vs. 9. Michael Jackson - Thriller
4. D'Angelo and the Vanguard - Black Messiah vs. 11. Michael Jackson - Off the Wall
5. Parliament - Mothership Connection vs. 12. Prince - Dirty Mind
2. Erykah Badu - Baduizm vs. 13. Otis Redding - Complete and Unbelievable: The Otis Redding Dictionary of Soul
10. Stevie Wonder - Fulfillingness’ First Finale vs. 15. The Supremes - Where Did Our Love Go
3. Gil Scott-Heron - Pieces of a Man vs. 16. Janet Jackson - Janet
8. Donny Hathaway - Live vs. 14. Betty Davis - They Say I’m Different

Henry, answering your question about "Baduizm", dificult to point a single track, but I think "Appletree", "Drama" and "No Love" are good songs you could try again, although "Next Life", "Sometimes" and "Certainly" might seem the most obvious choices.
