Is Royals by Lorde 2013 or 2012? It was included in The Love Club EP in 2012.

Edit: I see it was self-released in 2012 and commercially released in 2013. So I guess not an error.

Possible argument for My Bonnie to be credited to The Beatles as well as Tony Sheridan? Fully willing to accept the counterargument that it was originally released when they were The Beat Brothers and it isn't exactly canonical Beatles material.

While Tommy Dorsey & Frank Sinatra's performance of 'Without a Song' may well have been recorded in 1941 and Sinatra released it as a tribute to Dorsey on his 1961 I Remember Tommy LP, I can't find any evidence of its release by the two artists in 1941.

Its first appearance on Rate Your Music is as part of the 1972 compilation The Dorsey/Sinatra Sessions 1940-1942 and an annotation on RYM next to the track states 'previously unreleased'. No sign of the duet on Discogs or Allmusic prior to the 1972 compilation either.

I'm really nitpicking now but Tommy Dorsey's recording of the Hoagy Carmichael standard was twice released as a single, both times under the name 'Star Dust', not 'Stardust'.

Tommy Dorsey again- RYM has I'm Getting Sentimental over You as 1936, not 1932. Wikipedia lists the latter year as the date it was written and first performed, then gives the original copyright as 1933, so 1932 is unlikely.

Thelonious Monk's 'Misterioso' was first released as the B-side of 'Humph' in 1949, 9 years before its claimed release date on AM. 1958 saw its release as part of the live album of the same name, no doubt the source of the confusion.

Some sources are considering the "Pills" version, another the "Hills". I don't know how it's the criteria for these cases.

This is kind of an old error, but Pitchfork only put Otis Redding's "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay" at #28 on their '60s list. The site says it topped the list.

I have been told I can't delete posts in this forum, but when I noticed the same mistake made two more times, and both times at the expense of the Beach Boys' "God Only Knows"...that's when I realized I accidentally clicked the wrong page. So no errors to report from me.

'Two Sevens Clash' by Culture (as in the single) doesn't appear to have been released until 1977 according to Discogs, RYM and Wikipedia (as can sometimes happen, Allmusic is way off with a release of 1998...), which is a massive source of relief for me, having thought I'd wrongly overlooked 2 7s C for my 1976 songs list!

- The 1972 Steely Dan track should probably be "Reelin' in the Years" rather than "Reeling". It is listed that way on Wikipedia and Spotify and appears that way on the sleeve of the original Countdown to Ecstasy album release.

- “Don’t Let Me Down”, the b-side to “Get Back”, should also be credited to The Beatles with Billy Preston just as the a-side is.

- Scott McKenzie’s track does not have the word ‘some’ in it and is titled “San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Flowers in Your Hair)”.

- Beats International’s track is called “Dub Be Good to Me”.

- The correct title of the excellent Cocteau Twins’ track is “Pearly-Dewdrops’ Drops”.

- The full title of the Queen track is “Death on Two Legs (Dedicated to...)”.

- I don’t think there should be a question mark in Timi Yuro’s "What's a Matter Baby (Is It Hurting You)" – I can’t see a version on the single or album releases.

- Prefab Sprout’s “Cars and Girls” doesn’t have an ampersand.

- I think the word ‘out’ should be capitalised in Meat Loaf’s “Bat Out of Hell” album and song titles.

- Speaking of Meat Loaf, his 1993 song should be titled "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" rather than “I’ll…”.

- MJ Cole should be listed under ‘C’ rather than ‘M’ (i.e. as Cole, MJ) as it’s basically just a shortening of his name. His track “Sincere” should also be credited to Nova Casper and Jay Dee.

- Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot’s “Bonnie and Clyde” should not include an ampersand.

- I don’t think there should be a comma in Led Zeppelin’s “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You”.
