Just curious, on a scale of 0-10, how would you rate McCartney's French in "Michelle"? It's gotta be better than Strummer's Spanish in "Spanish Bombs."

Not sure it's worth rating, it's only one sentence. The grammar is perfect and his accent here is good. That said, the vocabulary is basic (in like 5 year old basic), and saying "Michelle, ma belle" is the equivalent of telling Betty she's pretty.

We hear very clearly that it is English that speaks but it is totally understandable, and the tone is pretty good. At the same time, there are only a few very simple words to say. It's always better than the "Mais qu'est-ce que c'est ?" of the Talking Heads :-)

Other than the Talking Heads, what are some of the other worst examples of French sung by English-speaking artists?
