Billboard's all-time top rock digital songs

Post by stevejazz »

A few weeks ago I posted the leaders in Billboard's jazz and blues digital song charts from January 2010 (when the charts began) through December 2018. Now I'm posting the leaders in the rock digital song charts for the same period.

Whereas the jazz and blues leaders were comprehensive, there are some gaps in the rock leaders, as I'm missing some charts from 2017 and 2014. But the list--which is dominated by songs from 2009 onward (with 80 of the top 100)--is still extremely interesting. Imagine Dragons is a real powerhouse here. Queen had always done well, and became even bigger after the film "Bohemian Rhapsody" returned many of their songs to the chart.

1.Radioactive (2012) - Imagine Dragons (28 weeks at #1, 434 total weeks)

Thanks for sharing these Billboard items.

I may be in the minority in the AM Forum, but I appreciate the Billboard Charts and often prefer more popular songs to those that receive near universal critical acclaim, e.g., Tom Waits and Velvet Underground.

Neat to see Bohemian Rhapsody spend a week at #1.
