Post by Wisnu Tirta Aji »

This is the fifth edition of AMF WC Forgotten Hits. You can nominate and vote the best radio hits here. There are rules for weekly chart forgotten hits: Miss the Top 50 of AM's greatest radio hits of each year and each 10 years and did not featured on AM list.

Pixies is a band that featuring Black Francis alias Frank Black and Kim Shattuck. This time, their former member, Kim Shattuck, passed away due to its pain.

It was later followed by Ginger Baker of Cream the following times, also having his pain. It was sorrow for two members of two different bands because their families wishing them the best.

So, as a tribute to two members of two rising stars, forgotten hits presents two new radio hits: "headache" by Frank Black, a member of Pixies where Kim Shattuck also featured on that band, and "sunshine of your love" by Cream, featuring Ginger Baker.

The two of them, where Frank Black is suitable for Alternative scene and Cream were active since the 1960s, will meet with 18 different acts from 18 different genres like Pop, New Wave, Yacht Ballad, Power Ballad, Indonesian Pop, Indie, Progressive, and Blues.

Didn't want to blank, forgotten hits also presents some 1988 radio hits like "toy soldiers" by Martika, "listen to your heart" by Roxette, and "baby can I hold you" by Tracy Chapman, where all the forgotten hits, including "headache" and "sunshine of your love", are miss the Top 50 of AM's greatest radio hits of each each 10 years where the radio hits are released, especially for "sunshine of your love" where it never seen on the Top 50 of AM's greatest radio hits of the 1960s.

Note: Originally nominating "where is my mind" by Pixies. However, because this radio hit is disqualified due to seen on the Top 50 of AM's greatest radio hits not only for the 1980s but also the year this radio hit released, it later replaced by Frank Black-related track, "headache", his own track.

All the best forgotten radio hits like Alternative, Blues, Electronic, Folk, Funk, Indie, Jazz, New Wave, Pop, Power Ballad, Progressive, Yacht Ballad, and many more, can be nominate and vote here. So, don't miss it!
