Welcome to the June 2020 Edition of Biggest Fan! We reached that elusive #500 now, which feels like a milestone!

What is Biggest Fan? That is a little game we play here, based on the All-Time Song Poll of last year. In that game, people could vote for their favorite songs of all time, up to a top 1000. Although a lot of songs got multiple votes, there were still a lot of songs that only managed to get one vote. The lonely tunes were then used for this Biggest Fan game, where each day there is a random song from that list is picked. People can than give them a grade and average rating of these votes will be revealed in this topic, ranked from lowest to highest. The plan is to update this top 100 every time we did another 100. People are still allowed to vote for songs that have already appeared here and can also change their votes, so list has the potential to remain dynamic.

To make the list, you now need a score of 6,557692308, which is not that much more than last edition's 6,408333333, but it that doesn't mean it becomes easier to make the list! Let's see who made the cut this time.

Some facts:

- The average song score this time is 5,883134758. Last time it was 5,859005838. So we go up, but barely.
- As per usual, there are many new entries near the top. Why this happens, I'm not sure, but whereas inevitably it becomes harder to enter the top 100 in general, the top 10 always seems to be a popular spot to land in, with three this time.
- In the previous edition, The Rolling Stones held the record of artist with the most songs in the top 100, with three. Alas, this time they only have one left. The record is now shared between Big Thief, Gorillaz and The Heavy, with two songs each. Gorillaz didn't have any songs in the top 100 last time.
- Prince remains the artist whose songs have appeared the most in this game, but like last time none of them made the top 100.
- Elliot Smith becomes the second artist to rise into the top 100, despite his song falling out last time. This is thanks to Nassim's perfect 10.
- What you really want to know: Hymie has 7 songs left in the list, still the most of anyone. That's down one. There appeared relatively few Hymie's during the last 100, it should be said. His arch nemesis Zombeels got 6 and so loses this round, although he did get a new entry in the Flaming Lips' song. In a shocking twist, Brad now ties with Zombeels, with also 6 songs! Too many! 206. That's quite a good amount, though nothing compared to Hymie who still has 731 left.

Minor point - that Deep Purple pic is the wrong lineup for "Burn" - looks like you got Gillan/Glover where it should be Coverdale/Hughes (only pointing this out because I'm a big Glenn Hughes fan, and I feel his backing vocals help make the song)!

Fixed this!... I think. I'm not an expert on how the members of Deep Purple look. Though I already noticed yesterday they have some of the least imaginative pictures of the era. Very few that deviate from simple group shots.

Good taste. I’ve had the good fortune to see Billy Joel live twice (I’m a New Yorker, what do you expect) and by sheer coincidence Itzhak Perlman was his special guest both times, and both times they did “Downeaster Alexa” together. It was amazing. The first time they also both did my favorite Billy Joel song, “And So It Goes.”
