Good choice! I'd say the short protest version I've picked is Public Enemy in their element, which makes for a powerful image whatever opinion you may have of their music.
All I got inside is vacancy!

Hi, all. The poll is officially closed as I've now emailed Live in Phoenix the spreadsheet. If there are any mistakes in the calculations, they were simple data entry issues and not "fraud." :P (For some reason, I'm feeling happier today than I have in 4 years. Can't quite figure out why...)

First off, I have some videos here that I'm making some assumptions on. If you need to, you can correct me, but otherwise I'll go with the assumption.

I assume that mileswide and Dan both voted for this version:
Arcade Fire - Sprawl II (Mountains beyond Mountains) [Original Non-Interactive Version] (Dir: Vincent Morisset)

I assume that mileswide and Miguel both voted for this version:
Peter Gabriel feat. Kate Bush - Don't Give Up (Original 'Hug' Version) (Dir: Godley & Creme)

I assume that everyone voting for OK Go's This Too Shall Pass voted for the Rube Goldberg machine version (except for madzong, who voted for both versions).

================================

These are the remaining videos that I'm having trouble attributing a director to. There are a few here where I'm not sure about the version, or I'm assuming who the director is. This is not a lethal problem, but figuring these out helps with the director statistics.

If I can't find a director here, I'll just have to move on, but please let me know if you have a name for any of these.

If the video is from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony held in 2004, the director should be Joel Gallen. Maybe there was a different director for different segments, but Gallen was the supervising director, according to IMDb: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0455728/?ref_=fn_tt_tt_10

Erobique & Jacques Palminger - Wann Strahlst Du?: Hilmar Stehr
Explosions In The Sky - The Birth and Death of the Day: Basically just a random YouTuber who goes by the name of TheShadyOne or Shady Glen Media, no idea what his/her real name is
In Aeternam Vale - Valium Water: Either Sebastian Kökow or Kevin Paschold or mabye both. Pretty hard to find out nowadays since the original YouTube video got deleted.

I'm stunned that I can't find the director for some of these, as well, since a few of them are quite well known. I've included the links to all versions. (Fortunately, I don't think any of these directors will have directed any other videos in the list, so it won't affect the rankings.)

Arcade Fire – Wake Up: Pete Ohs (This is correct!)
Decemberists – The Mariner’s Revenge Song: Video says "captured by Rosamannen (I think)" (Whatever that means) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Sw61oITuts
Dhani Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Prince, Steve Winwood & Tom Petty – While My Guitar Gently Weeps (From the 2004 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame): This one is the performance from the Rock & Roll HOF induction. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SFNW5F8K9Y
Jacques Brel – Amsterdam: (Doubt we'll find the director for this one, unfortunately, as it's a live performance from 1966. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3BSj1cHX-M
Microphones – Microphones in 2020: (I imagine this would be Phil Elverum himself.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7BkabF31ak
Moody Blues – Nights in White Satin: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cs4RG9u8IVU
Oleander – Runaway Train (This may have been directed by the film's director, Guy Ferland, but I'm not certain.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BoZF4pMKho8
Parn – หยุดตรงนี้ที่เธอ: Yeah, quite sure we don't have to worry about this one affecting the top director's ranking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ru4RR-ElQw
Rebecca St. James – Reborn: Huh, this one I would've thought would be easy to find. I stand corrected. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxDfqTqatQM
Sarah McLachlan – Steaming: Same here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6JME11Af2c
Snap! – The Power: And again. (Music video directors certainly don't get the credit they deserve in a lot of cases.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1BNcSBApOU
Tragically Hip – Nautical Disaster: And yet again! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8Fi46BFAF0

I'm the past the hump of "OH MY GOD, THIS WILL NEVER GET DONE." I've had the benefit of an unusual amount of free time, but I can't always count on that and I'm not exactly raring to do another one of these some day. Incidentally, the AMF Hall of Acclaim, sort of like Cleveland's R&R Hall of Fame Class of 2021, is going to be late, just because I don't want to work on it anytime soon, and I want to enjoy the month or two of winter that Phoenix has to offer. (Btw I wouldn't mind if someone else wanted to take over the Hall of Acclaim.) The results aren't totally formatted and done, but I can make a preliminary post, per tradition, and actually I have a post for the Hall of Acclaim too.
