Bold prediction coming, but I think OK Computer will place pretty high this poll. Maybe even in the top 100.

Two questions:

1) WIll "The Beatles" (aka "The White") album fall out of the top ten? (I predict that it will.)

2) Will Funeral find its way back into the top ten? (No prediction from me.)

More questions:

1) Will Ziggy continue its climb and get into the top 3?

2) Will Nevermind stay in the top 10?

3) Will the Velvet Underground move back into the top 2? (I hope not.)

Ok Computer wont'be number one, because the anti-Ok-Computer feeling is stronger.

A serious prediction of mine is a large increase in the number of 2010s albums, due in part to the recent "top albums of the 2010s" poll we ran.

Fetch the Bolt Cutters in the top 500, and likely no other 2020 releases in the top 1000.

Will any changes in our poll be reminiscent of Rolling Stone's changes in their list? (I'd say no. Though it reminds me that, as an odd coincidence, last time our poll put Abbey Road in front for the Beatles, and then Rolling Stone did the same. Is there a new best Beatles album every couple of decades?)

This was achieved by our significant others and/or loved ones being sick of our list-making, and collectively sending PMs to Holden when our account was open.

Kylie Minogue's Napalm Death tribute is her one classic, though.

Bonus questions :

What will be the highest AM ranked album :
Out of the top 100
Out of the top 500
Out of the list
Without a single vote ?

What will be the lowest ranked album in the top 100 ? (Excluding albums released after 2017)
Same question for the top 500
What will be the highest ranked album not in AM3000 ? (Excluding albums released after 2017)

It was the Sex Pistols album.

In the rollout I have included the ranks for those above 40 and under 40.
Fun fact: in the Top 1000, they have the same rank for exactly ONE album. Only one out of 1000 has exact aggrement!

My guess for this: OK Computer being #1 on both sides.

So... Hybrid Theory was the only album with no change... you know what that means!

...

Yeah, I bet Abbey Road takes the crown this time.

I sorta make predictions for these lists by where an artist's discography seems to be trending. Seeing You Are the Quarry higher makes me think the Smiths are going to do well this time.

I think he meant that there was only one album with exact agreement between the under and over 40 sects, not that didn't change their rank at all.

Time to put money down on where Fiona Apple will place in the AMF Top 100 Artists, because her representation in the poll is insane.

With some quick scanning, it seems Extraordinary Machine (sadly) will not place. My instincts tell me that Idler Wheel would outplace Fetch the Bolt Cutters, but a quick scan of the list thread leads me to believe that may not be the case. I'd say both making in the top 200 is a very real possibility, one that I'd be thrilled about.

There are now actually three albums where both ages agree after I found a mistake and Cold Butterfly's age was added in. What do you think they are?

Original Pirate Material got within a single digit for both groups which is pretty unexpected, I'm going to agree with ListyGuy that one of them is probably OK Computer since that seems to be popular for both demographics.

There are now 300 albums left to reveal. There are 295 albums from the 2017 poll's top 500 that have not appeared yet (unless I've miscounted somewhere), and it seems highly unlikely that any of them will miss the cut going forward.

That leaves five albums that were not in the top 500 last time around, and I'm pretty sure I know what those are as well. One is from last year; one is from this year. One of the other three albums is by the same artist who's placed a 2020 album in the top 300.

The highest-ranking album from the 2017 poll that doesn't seem to be in our top 1000 is Sade's Diamond Life (#515 in 2017).

Besides The Idler Wheel..., I'm predicting Autobahn and S-K's The Woods as the outside entries. Which means that Solange's A Seat at the Table didn't make the top 1000, which is rather sad, considering its solid placement in the 2010s poll.

I also wonder what happened to Sade's Diamond Life. Did its fans not vote this time?

I've also got Autobahn, but my other outlier is Hatful of Hollow. Unless a decision was made not to count it this time, and I missed it.
