AMF WC Classics Edition 102

Post by spiritualized »

Hello everyone,
It's time for instalment n°102 of the Classics Chart, where YOU get to nominate and vote for the best songs ever in a tournament to the death ! Only the cream of the crop will go through the grueling EIGHT weeks of charting.

Nominations will follow the rules below

- only the first top 1000 AM song nominated each week is eligible.
- only the first six top AM 1001-10000 songs nominated each week is eligible.
- that would leave 3 places each week reserved for un-acclaimed songs (if more than 3, the fourth unranked song will take the spot of a second tier one)

:scared-shocked: 123 votes last week (-17)
:scared-shocked: On the top step of the podium, again : Sam Cooke's A Change Is Gonna COme
:scared-shocked: New Entries : R.E.M. / Van Halen
:text-bump: Kicked out this week : Dionne Warwick / Robert Schumann
:text-bump: Love and the Beach Boys reach the Hall of Fame this week !

I love this song! Great pick! It was used to great effect in High Fidelity (which also has a great soundtrack btw)

Love this song also. When I first heard it, I thought that it would make a great end song to some epic movie.
