Twelve - Sommer '72
(1st track here: https://twelvemusic.bandcamp.com/album/August-2020)

4 months old but simultaneously the best track I've heard from my Nottingham hometown this year and much better than that restrictive superlative would suggest.

Having lived in the UK for 15 years (actually not far from Nottingham), married to a beautiful Brit and made 3 gorgeous kids, I can only feel for what you experience on a daily basis.
Being French myself, I'm not at all sure I would have been welcomed to stay in the UK.

Whereabouts in the UK if I'm ok to ask? Macron only seems to be better than Boris by dint of not being a moron with a thesaurus. It's worse what EU citizens without the settlement scheme have to experience here, being left in legal limbo from next week onwards, and I imagine you would've had to face the same difficulties sadly. But we'll have our own problems once we're hit with WTO tariffs on basic foodstuffs (and have a lighter workforce). Happy days! :|

We lived in glamorous Coalville for 8 years (fancy that, it's like living in Camembertville in France, :D :D ). Good times though, I don't regret it at all
Fortunately we left in 2011, so we haven't experienced the rampant Europhobia which seems to pervade in the UK today (although I am aware that if the Brexit vote were to happen today, it wouldn't pass...). Macron has the Europhile fibre and that's a blessing.

Well, Camembertville UK isn't far from Red Leicester! And you have my condolences for staying there for 8 years ;-) No, it's what you make it and if you felt at home there (as I do in equally ritzy St. Ann's), that overrides everything else.

I'd hope the pro-EU message were more enthusiastically and more clearly articulated if the vote were held today. It came across too much like fearmongering while Leave were given licence to run riot with their own scare stories. The appeal to votes from people (not just whites but across all ethnic lines) seeking a curb on non-European immigration should've also been dismissed by Remain and the media as irrelevant.
