I hate this year so much, it literally took people away to the last day.

It looks he actually passed away two months ago and the news was only revealed today - either way, very sad news, only 49 as well :(

Seriously, there were a lot of tragic deaths this year but I don’t think any of them shocked me as much as this. He was irreplaceable.

I was just reading that too! It’s crazy that they took so long to announce it but I have to imagine the family wanted to just grieve in peace for a while.

I was just thinking of The Child Of Lov (who passed in winter 2013) and his collaboration with DOOM - Owl. RIP

WTF man. I honestly haven't dived too much into his material but literally put him on a list of artists to listen to in January, and now this happened. Fucking blows

Just as I was getting into his music, too. Shame we lost him so young.

R.I.P. MF Doom

I'm not actually familiar with his work, but I wanted to do Madvillainy for my Music Mountain series earlier, but it's ranking on RYM changed so that I had to skip it according to my set rules. I make the rules though, so I will pick the album after I have done the next entry, as a special.

A true virtuoso - it was a joy to listen to every lyric he wrote. What a way to end the year.
