I noticed two items in the acclaimedmusic.net home page that may need to be corrected.

The first item is located in the TOP ALBUMS OF 2012 section. The hyperlink is stated as "Top albums of 2011." Should it instead be "Top albums of 2012.

The second item is located in the TOP ALBUMS OF 2011 section. The parenthetic expression after the "Top 100 albums of 2011" hyperlink presently states "(January 2nd 2011)." Perhaps instead it should read (January 2nd 2012)"

I'm not sure if other people have this problem, but whenever I go to a year page (such as "The Top Songs from 2009" page or a page for any other year) there are a number of bubbling under songs that appear above the phrase "Some songs "bubbling under" the all-time top 3000:", and then a number of songs that appear below that phrase. Here's an example of what I'm talking about-

30 2898 Miike Snow
Animal

31 2905 The Pains of Being Pure at Heart
Young Adult Friction

32 2947 Fuck Buttons
Surf Solar

Joker
Digidesign

The Big Pink
Velvet

Bon Iver
Blood Bank

Passion Pit
The Reeling

Neko Case
This Tornado Loves You

Julian Casablancas
11th Dimension

Camera Obscura
French Navy

Basement Jaxx
Raindrops

Editors
Papillon

Some songs "bubbling under" the all-time top 3000:
Arctic Monkeys
Cornerstone

Fever Ray
When I Grow Up

Dirty Projectors and David Byrne
Knotty Pine

Neko Case
People Got a Lotta Nerve

The Avett Brothers
I and Love and You

Pet Shop Boys
Love Etc.

Burial
Moth

Darkstar
Aidy's Girl's a Computer

Big Boi feat. Gucci Mane
Shine Blockas

Black Eyed Peas
I Gotta Feeling

The Spiritualized song "Stop Your Crying" is incorrectly labeled "Stop Your Cryin'".

Reference: http://www.allmusic.com/album/let-it-co ... 0000006555

Also, I've mentioned this before, but does Dido really deserve dual credit for Eminem's "Stan"? I can understand giving her credit if Dido actually recorded her part specifically for "Stan" or Eminem and Dido worked together in the studio on the song, but "Stan" only contains a sample of the original song (Dido's "Thank You"), not any actual original contribution from Dido. Using this logic, shouldn't The Clash get dual credit for "Paper Planes" and Chic get dual credit for "Rapper's Delight"?

The Upsetter's "Blackboard Jungle Dub" is #29 on WOEBOTS/Matthew Ingram "100 Greatest Records Ever" list (http://rateyourmusic.com/list/funks/woe ... __complete_), but the album's inclusion in that list is not on its page on this site. I think you might have been confused because it is listed as "Upsetters 14 Dub Black Board Jungle" on Ingram's list, but it is the same album as "Blackboard Jungle Dub" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upsetters_ ... ard_Jungle).

Here's an error with the forum, not the list, I don't know where to post those.

My browser has a hard time remembering that I'm logged in. I often have to log in, then when I click on a thread, I have to log in again, then when I click reply, I have to log in again.

I've mostly noticed it while using Safari on Mac.

For instance, it just happened trying to make this post.

Todd Rundgren's song "Hello It's Me" was first released by Rundgren on his 1972 album "Something/Anything?" and is not from 1966. However, it was recorded first by his old band Nazz and released by Nazz in 1968.

That's where the exclamation point used to be, until 2002. The two GY!BE albums currently on the AM top 3000 date from the GYBE! era, so that's probably why they're listed that way. Considering that Allelujah! Don't Bend! Ascend! will likely be joining them, the listing should probably be updated to what Walter Sobchak would call "the preferred nomenclature."

I hate to bring this up in light of the '80s poll, but I got the deluxe edition of The Pretenders' first album today, and it said how it first came out in December 1979. So then I decided to check Wikipedia, and it says it came out 27 December 1979. I guess five whole days in the '70s still makes it a '70s album?

Hmmmmmm very interesting....

The CD booklet, besides remarking "Simply titled Pretenders, it arrived in December 1979," later states in the credits, "Pretenders was originally issued as Sire #6083 (12/27/79)." I see that Rate Your Music and Allmusic have a different date ... it's all pretty nuts! :o

Someone wanted to change the release year to 1979 at RYM, but it was denied with the following comment:

We can't accept this correction. Here's why.
First, wikipedia is not the best source
Second, here is why 1980 is more likely than 1979
http://www.pretendersarchi...Pretenders.html
Also scans of both UK and US issues show 1980 printed as the year of the release.
http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=1161224
http://www.discogs.com/viewimages?release=370135

Sometimes it's very important to check additional sources.

Argh if I can read small print correctly, the back cover of the UK record says "1979 a Real Recording distributed by **** Records Ltd." with no other date, whilst the U.S. back cover says 1980 Real Records. All in all some some very interesting info to me, but anyway I'm done pondering this, I think I'm off to lie down or cry or put my head between my legs... :)

EDIT:
(I wanted to comment on the January 19, 1980 release date, though, for anyone who’d love to spend time reading an extra paragraph about this. There were discrepancies between some ‘79/’80 U.K. and U.S. release dates that wreaked havoc on my “Rolling Stone 100 Greatest Albums of the 80’s” book: London Calling is the #1 album of the 1980s, when it never came out in 1980, except stateside in January. Gang of Four’s Entertainment release date is listed as May 1980, Public Image Ltd.’s Second Edition is from March 1980, and The Special’s debut is from, uh, “December 1979” (they mention the album’s U.S. release in 1980). The Pretenders album is listed as January 1980, but because the band was based in the U.K., I wouldn’t be altogether surprised if the 12/27/79 number is the initial U.K. release, and 1/19/80 is the U.S. release. But that is speculation and inference, and I can’t prove that one.)

James Brown's album "The Payback" was originally released in 1973, not 1974 according to AllMusic.
However, RYM says it's a 1974 release. What to do here? If it really is a 1973 release, then not only will the album's date need to be changed, but the song "The Payback"'s date will need to be changed as well.

Betty Everett's "The Shoop Shoop Song (It's in His Kiss)" is currently listed under 1964 while it was originally released on her debut album "You're No Good" in December 1963 under the name "It's in His Kiss (The Shoop-Shoop Song)".
