Sticky topic fixed.

Kuviello, are you reading this? It would be great if you could comment on the eligibility of all the Italian sources for which you have recently posted 2017 eoy lists. And thanks for posting all those lists!

Just kidding, it should be OK if they're eligible.

This might've been addressed somewhere else in this forum, but Uproxx is trying to fill the void left by Village Voice's critics poll. Will that be eligible?

Where did you hear about this? I can't find anything about it on their website. They've already posted their own staff's top 50 list.

Confirmed from a thread on Robert Christgau's Twitter feed - somehow, some way, there will be a Pazz & Jop poll in early 2019, albeit later than usual (and with a fair share of skepticism from would-be participants):

No Spex-List this year. On December 27th the last printed Edition was published without an EOY- List. Spex will be continued in 2019 only as a Website. Maybe there will be a list in 2019.

Harold has said that he will not add any sources that were not in last year's spreadsheet, unless it is a source that is added to the songs spreadsheet. His task is already gigantic and I believe this case would open a flood of potentional new sources.

However, when Harold has completed his work, the spreadsheet will be available for anyone who wants to add more sources. For each additional source, the inclusion criteria would need to be checked first though.

This was released today with 100+ critics, eligible or not?

I don't know yet. Uproxx posted its own staff top 50 before the end of the year, which is already included; this poll was clearly conceived as some kind of successor to Pazz & Jop, except that whatever's left of the Village Voice is apparently trying to keep the original P&J going (no idea how, but they're trying). The jury's out on this one. If it gets some traction outside of Uproxx itself, maybe it'll be worthy of inclusion.

Are results from a songs poll to be expected as well? If so, I will add them to my spreadsheet.

According to this site, State Magazine (Ireland) closed down in March last year, so we are unlikely to see anymore lists from them.

Thanks for weighing in, Henrik. I'll go ahead and add the top 50 albums (as deemed worthy of a visual representation by Uproxx) to my spreadsheet.

Have been doing a bit of a search through all the magazines/websites outside of the US. Haven't found any articles yet for Monkeybuzz, Porcys, Rockerilla, Screenagers or Songwriting. A Voir A Lire have only published a top ten best rap albums (here)

I have located lists for Blow Up Magazine (Top 10, ranked. In the printed version only - wasn't able to locate an online version), Dagsavisen (Top 40, ranked), Rumore (Top 50, ranked. The only online source is a half-page preview) and Sentire Ascoltare (Top 50, unranked). Will start transcribing them now.

EDIT - Blow Up, Dagsavisen, Rumore and Sentire Ascoltare are transcribed.

The only poll I could find from Nashville Scene was their Top (10) Local Albums Critics' Poll - not sure if that's too specialised to make the cut.

I went on the Village Voice site yesterday. They are adding articles about prior years Jazz & Pop polls, about one a day. In the 1994 Pazz & Jop article there is a link to Pazz + Jop 2018 100 Albums w/Art!!! The page had some lorem ipsum indicating that it was a work in progress. I printed the list out and today went back to check. Now the link does not work. For your info the top 10 were:
1. Golden Hour-Kacey Musgraves 1155
2. Dirty Computer-Janelle Monae 1046
3.(tie) Invasion of Privacy-Cardi B 654
Be the Cowboy-Mitski 654
5. Honey-Robyn 537
6. Daytona-Pusha T 533
7. Double Negative-Low 481
8. Room 25-Noname 473
9. Wide Awaaaaaake! Parquet Courts 452
10. Historian-Lucy Dacus 438
