Not gonna lie, I felt like NME was kinda losing it in the last few years with weird and out of touch lists (they were pretty much the only ones with BOTH Gallaghers in their list last year if I recall) but this song list might be one of my favorite so far. Parquet Courts in the top 3! Immaterial! That super good sunflower song I discover a week ago! KSG! Fast Slow Disco! The RIGHT King Princess song! Grimes! No Drake!

If anything I'm a bit surprised Snail Mail is not in the songs list and I wished Let's Eat Grandma and Soccer Mommy would also appear but that's something I can live with. That and the fact they went with one of the weakest Charli XCX tracks of the year.
