Apologies Harold, it seems that they've published two different lists. The one above is a 'local album picks' while the following list covers country albums.

20th Annual Country Music Critics’ Poll: The Results

1. Tanya Tucker, While I’m Livin’ (Fantasy)
2. The Highwomen, The Highwomen (Elektra/Low Country Sound)
3. Miranda Lambert, Wildcard (RCA/Vanner)

5. Yola, Walk Through Fire (Easy Eye Sound)
6. Maren Morris, Girl (Columbia Nashville)
7. Jon Pardi, Heartache Medication (Capitol Records Nashville/Snakefarm)

19. Hayes Carll, What It Is (Dualtone)
20. Ian Noe, Between the Country (National Treasury)

In past years, it's been the Country Music Poll that's been included, never the local picks. I figure that "local" in this case is too narrow to fit the eligibility criterion for an EOY list.

I never entered the local list, because I knew the larger, "actual" poll was forthcoming. I'll enter this one.
