Top 20 are all black artists, a little bias imo. :angry-nono:

At least I want to see The Suburbs, Modern Vampires of the City, Currents or Carrie & Lowell in the Top 20. 8-)

Yeah, but Taylor's at #21, and she's white enough to count as 20 white artists.

Saw this as well, it's the result of a poll of "The Genius Community" i.e. the site's registered members as well as editorial staff, would it count in that case?

I will accept it considering only SENIOR members can join the discussion and the most important thing is editorial staff are the one who have veto power to approve what album should be included.

Sounds reasonable.

Genius is not in any way, shape, or form a critics' site. It's best known as a repository (an amazing one) for lyric transcription and interpretations. It does not run album reviews at all, let alone the 10 a month that Henrik deemed the minimum (among other criteria) for eligibility. This is an interesting list, but it's not eligible for the spreadsheet.

Can you list all the criteria needed for EOD list to be counted for the aggregate?

This appears to be the list of criteria posted here:
viewtopic.php?f=24&t=7901

Interesting list, but as posted out above, one important criteria is the requirement that the source must "publish at least 10 album reviews per month, and not just recommendations with a couple of sentences per album". I'm not aware of Genius publishing album reviews.

If these criteria are correct, then the Genius Community Staff albums list falls short of the requirements.

I disagree. There are lists of MTV and VH1 and both are not critic-centered sites. They're only made by their music journalists as this one, so I didn't find any problem.

Ehh idk, the list was made with readers’ input as well, i’m pretty sure. Therefore it shouldn’t be eligible.

Those are not eoy/eod lists, where the criteria are harder since there are so many of them coming out during around the same time.

Oh, sorry. I thought the community were journalists, not readers. No way, not eligible, by any circunstance
