Looks like it may be a list from an individual journalist on the BBC website, not the cumulative votes of the BBC Radio 6 Music DJs that is normally included.

Exactly. The entire article is credited to Nick Levine, so I guess they are only his choices.

He calls himself a "pop culture and LGTBQ writer", and this rather short list definitely seems in line with what would come out of a pop writer.
