I can't say which list, but I have a feeling that it has actually happened before that someone picked his/her own album (and that I didn't use that entry).

I like the consistency

I mean, "Broke with Expensive Taste" is a good album and all (in my opinion), but yeah, it would be ridiculous to include the recommendation listed here. Also, Azealia Banks seems like an incredibly uncool, vile person.

Furthermore, should we include the recommendations listed by Will Arnett and Bret Easton Ellis and all the other people who aren't musicians or involved in the music scene? Because it kind of seems crazy to allow their recommendations too.

Yeah, I was thinking that, too. Maybe keep Quentin Tarantino as he has become renowned for his unique soundtrack choices which has become ubiquitous with his movies, but the others... Yeah, no.

Well if you are going to exclude Arnett, Easton Ellis and other non-musicians you have to exclude Tarantino as well. i don't think it should matter that he's renowned for unique soundtrack choices he's not a musician.

I don't want to go into any detail about who's in the music business and who's not. After all, whoever made the picks, their recommendations were printed in a music magazine, which is good enough for me. There are several lists already on AM with participance from non-musicians.

I agree, I don't think you can exclude this list because there are non-musician selections on it. I was just making the point that you can't pick and choose who you want to include because their movies have great soundtracks and exclude others, well except Ms. Banks. Their might be a strong case to exclude her selection.

Okay, bootsy, here's my reasoning for my suggestion of Quentin Tarantino:

A. Azealia Banks chose her own album. Out of all the albums in the world, she chose her own album. She chose to promote herself. Even if she loved the making of it and the final result, she is still promoting it. That's basically goes against what this list is about.

B. I suggested maybe (key word: maybe) Quentin Tarantino because his films have had soundtracks that caused A LOT of songs to be popular after decades of obscurity. Nancy Sinatra's Bang Bang, Dusty Springfield's Son of a Preacher, Dick Dale's Misirlou, and many others. He was the first one. Plus a brief look tells me that only Kill Bill: Vol. 1 & 2 and The Hateful Eight is the only films of his to have an official score. In a sense, it looks like Tarantino's the scorer of his own films. That's pretty music-y to me.

BUT THIS IS HENRIK'S DECISION! I only merely suggested him. I may not agree with Henrik on some things, but I respect it's his own list.

Might want to check you're not double counting any of these. Here is a similar list of 101 apparently from 2014 which while I haven't done a full cross check also has e.g. St Vincent's choice. Don't know if you included this previously. NME recycling articles.
