Thanks, Otis!

I'll guess that the missing album is Fiona Apple's.

I've looked all over, and under rocks, and i have not found the lost album (although it has a sufficiently long title)

Hi there. I believe the missing album is Neneh Chery & The Thing's "The Cherry Thing". I dont have the magazine to hand (i'm stuck at work!) but i'm pretty sure it wasn't at number 40 - almost certain it was in the top 25 which i guess must mean that the original post is out of whack somewhere. I'll try & find out and post later.

So in 2003 Mojo chose The White Stripes' Elephant as their album of the year. And in 2006 they chose The Raconteurs' Broken Boy Soldiers. And now in 2012, they choose Jack White's good, but rather overrated, Blunderbuss.

I love Mojo, and I like and admire Jack White, but a little variety would be nice. Really, one artist is responsible for three of the single best albums of the year out of the past ten years???????

Saueia posted on the other thread that the missing album is actually Ty Segall's Twins, and that it's actually #42 - Beach House and Cate Le Bon are #'s 40 and 41, respectively. I'm inclined to think this is accurate.

Now if only someone could transcribe the Uncut list!

Thank you! I'm hoping FACT, The Wire, Quietus, Drowned in Sound, and even Pitchfork's list will make up for the lack of The Seer so far.
