Bruno- noticed that, too. Also- no Donna Summer. Granted, the albums as a whole were never as revered as the singles.

I was very surprised because the list has many albums of the same genre.

I don't know, but the latest documentary against MJ may have probably influenced this omission.

Let's wait for the other lists from now on.

This is a fine list, but it's also evokes no personality -- it's more or less the same list any other critic may have made for the 70s, with a few modifications. I wonder what inspired them to do this now -- and why are no major critics going for all-time lists anymore??

it misses a landmark album that has been cited as a primary influence by the likes of Joy Division, the Cure, Killing Joke, Steve Albini, the Jesus and Mary Chain, Faith no More, Massive Attack....
and that album is called The Scream by Siouxsie And The Banshees.
