Nirvana aren't close to my heart but Where Did You Sleep immediately behind arguably the most throwaway tracks from their respective albums is an insult- Leadbelly's version most likely would not have the same broad critical recognition it has today, were it not for the MTV Unplugged cover for a start and Cobain's vocal is a benchmark that few prospective interpreters of the song could dream of reaching. Commendable work elsewhere by the list compilers, though, kept us guessing right til the end!

Thank you Miles! Yeah, I also thought that was too low, but I appreciate some of the curveballs (like not having Come as You Are or About a Girl in the top ten).

Yup, it shows they've done their research and not gone for easy choices either!

Nirvana is one of those bands that I think the critics are pretty spot on with their picks for best of the band. Of course it’d also be hard to pick wrong with Nirvana...

I agree. Just a really solid band all-around.

I’m always trying to explore new music so I often go pretty long stretches without listening to Nirvana, having already exhausted their 3/4 album discography, but every time I go back to them I realize that yes, they are still absolutely amazing.
