This author, whose name refers to my favourite furniture, analyses 500 songs. Top 3 is I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, HEARTBREAK HOTEL & HEY JUDE. Well, could be worse, couldn't it? Here is the introduction:
"Utilizing a complex mathematical formula developed by the author, The Top Songs of the Rock Era: 1955-2015 ranks the 500 strongest songs based on Billboard chart position and chart data, competition (the top songs out at the same time), single sales, album sales, radio airplay and awards won. You'll read the story behind each song and the artist who recorded it, and discover fascinating background information. The book also includes handy alphabetical and numerical indexes to The Top 500, as well as lists of the artists which place the most songs in the list and The Top 500 By Year."
Don't ask, you'll never ever get to that mathematical formula.
