TheNeedleDrop Classic Albums 2021

Lists by single critics or musicians, published in magazines or on websites, have lower priority. The amount of such lists would be impossible to handle.
(However, priority is given to single author lists from books, very famous music critics and artists with albums or songs ranked on Acclaimed Music. Single author lists are also more likely to get priority if they are not limited to a genre or artist.)

TheNeedleDrop Classic Albums 2021

Post by Holden »

Good ol’ Fantano is reviewing classics once again over this week.

The List
The Roots-Things Fall Apart
M.I.A.-Arular
Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
Portishead - Dummy

I’ll update as he adds more albums.

I'm fairly sure the other four for 2021 are:

Nine Inch Nails - The Downward Spiral
M.I.A. - Arular
Portishead - Dummy
Alice Coltrane - Journey in Satchidananda

He apparently listened to these albums on Twitch before tweeting this.

I wonder if this means that Plastic Beach will also be in the "classics week", but IIRC he only does 5 albums for those.

I guess this is a debatable point, but I would say the redux reviews aren't classics.

I wouldnt count it. The redux review of MBDTF was still a 6/10

To be fair, something can be a 6/10 and still be a classic.
