What are your New Year Resolutions?

Post by letmeintomyzone »

Mine are, from most to least

1. Find a job
2. Finish my 100 Most Acclaimed Comics of All Time project
3. Start and finish a 100 Most Acclaimed TV Episodes of All Time project
4. Find older Best of the Year lists for television
5. Learn to draw so I can draw and write a Marvel vs. DC boxing webcomic/fancomic
6. Learn how to cook
7. Eat healthier
8. Stop eating out as much
9. Clean my room
10. Clean my bathroom
11. Do more chores around the house
12. Quit / reduce time on 4chan

I already have started spending less time on 4chan, aside from viewing Shelf / Stack threads on /co/ and /lit/.

Play Pokémon FOMO less (a.k.a. Pokémon Go)
Step up my Spanish learning. FFS already, I've been learning it since high school and I'm 42.
Some of Letmeintomyzone's resolutions. Fortunately I've never visited 4chan, so it won't be hard for me to quit!

Generally repeating mine from last year:
Read 5 novels a month
Watch 20 movies a month
Write according to my schedule (which involves starting a new manuscript) - this has to be vague since different phases of writing require different forms of pacing
Continue avoiding tumblr

The main thing is to get my comic idea completed enough to be posted sometime this year. I also want to listen to a lot more music, though I'm not certain how exactly to get that done.

Mine are:
- Find a better job that actually furthers my career.
- Write everyday.
- Read everyday.
- Exercise at least 3 times every week.

For anyone else who struggles with maintaining their goals, check out the app Habitica, its been helping me a ton since I discovered it a few weeks ago.

(Some of) mine are:
1. Stay in shape/build more muscle
2. Stay on top of Grad School
3. Stay on top of my new RYM account
4. Be more social
5. Finish more video games
6. Read more books
7. Watch more films/shows
8. Go on at least one freakin' date
9. Start writing again/finish my chapbook

I would've also added travel somewhere at least once, but I already did that. Drove to Oxford with some friends over the weekend and visited Rowan Oak (among other things).

I could also get more specific as to what's in my queue in terms of games, films, shows, books, etc.
