Re: Errors in the 2018 update
You've got two Barry White titles wrong. They should be:
"I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby" (not Babe)
"It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next to Me"
"I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby" (not Babe)
"It's Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next to Me"

Re: Errors in the 2018 update
A few from me...
1. "It Takes Two" by Marvin Gaye & Kim Weston is showing incorrectly on Kim Weston's page. Rather than linking to their 1966 song, it shows the rankings for Spoonin Gee's "Spooning Rap" and clicking the link reaches that page too
2. MJ Cole is listed alphabetically under 'M' rather than "C"
3. The 1975 album Zuma should be credited to Neil Young & Crazy Horse, as should the tracks "Cortez the Killer" and "Don't Cry No Tears"
4. Finally, NSYNC should arguably be *NSYNC, especially as that was how the group's name was stylised when "Bye Bye Bye" was released...
Cheers,
James

Re: Errors in the 2018 update
1. Shuggie Otis' track "Inspiration Information" from the album of the same name is mistitled "Information Ispiration". The album name is correct though.
2. Shouldn't the Soul II Soul track be Back to Life (However Do You Want Me) [Feat. Caron Wheeler]? Either way Wheeler's contribution should be credited as her vocals featured on the a cappella album version.
3. A minor one, but I'd lose the 'the' from Kalin Twins.

Re: Errors in the 2018 update
Here's a can of worms to open up: looking at Lou Reed's songs, I was somewhat surprised to see "Caroline Says I" ranked higher than "Caroline Says II" because, looking at various other sources, the latter seems to generally be the more beloved song. Then I noticed that it is included in several lists that simply list "Caroline Says" without specifying one or the other. I wonder if this has led to some confusion as to which song is being mentioned...

Re: Errors in the 2018 update
I’m aware of this potential error. If anybody is able to sort out if it’s I or II that is actually referred to, that would be great. In cases where this is not possible, then perhaps I should give credit to both songs?Sweepstakes Ron wrote:Here's a can of worms to open up: looking at Lou Reed's songs, I was somewhat surprised to see "Caroline Says I" ranked higher than "Caroline Says II" because, looking at various other sources, the latter seems to generally be the more beloved song. Edit: Two of these sources (Manchek and Bourhis) are in excel sheets from lagire. lagire, would you be able to find out which Caroline Says song (or both) that were mentioned in those books?
In the Bourhis case I have given credit to both I and II on AM. I think because it’s a list of singles and the songs were released together as a single.

Re: Errors in the 2018 update
I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but this is an 'error' of another kind. Whether it is an actual error is even up for debate, but I thought it was worth bringing up. Walter Carlos changed her name to Wendy Carlos after sex reassignment surgery, already in the seventies. She is names Walter/ Wendy Carlos in the artist listing, but her own page as well as her credits with the one album and song she has name her as Walter Carlos. I think at least the artist page should read Walter/ Wendy Carlos or just Wendy Carlos, but not just Walter Carlos. The album and song were released when she still went by as Walter Carlos and so it makes some sense to keep it that way, as the albums were credited that way, but perhaps even there you could go for the split. Most sites and also Spotify just call her Wendy Carlos nowadays, so that's how most people would find her work.

Yeah, I think it's best to just call her Wendy Carlos.

Re: Errors in the 2018 update
No, it was the 1980s duo featuring Siobhan Fahey of Bananarama that deliberately misspelled their name as "Shakespear's Sister." The Smiths song uses the correct spelling (unlike the infamous "Cemetry Gates"!).StevieFan13 wrote:I think they misspell it on purpose.starchman46 wrote:'Shakespeare's Sister' by The Smiths is incorrectly listed as 'Shakespear's Sister.'
