7. Grimes - Art Angels v. 2. Blur - 13
4. The Velvet Underground - VU v. 8. Foo Fighters - The Colour and the Shape
5. Buffy Saint-Marie - It's My Way v. 1. Colin Stetson - New History Warfare Vol 2: Judges

No hesitation over any of my choices but each winning album is better than the tournament average!

Art Angels 87 - 13 82
VU 85 - The Colour and the Shape 84
New History Warfare 98 - It’s My Way 89

I should probably try to actually hear Tokyo Jihen.

1. Blur - 13
2. Foo Fighters - Colour And The Shape
3. TBA
4. Peter Gabriel - Us

Love the Velvets and they are one of my top 10 favourite bands but I still feel like it is an (excellent) compilation of songs and not a true cohesive album. If this album was not up against the Foo Fighters, it probably would have won out but...

The Foo Fighters album was one of the first I bought when It came out. Lots of good memories. Lots of good songs and the b-sides from this period are also fantastic.

Apologies if this has been said before, but are there places to hear the Tokyo Jihen album? It doesn't seem to be available in Spotify for the US.

Awhile back Brad and JamieW were kind enough to set me up with a copy of Kyoiku as it's almost impossible to find in the States. I'm happy to forward a copy. You probably wouldn't have it before it's time to vote this week though. Just let me know with a private message.

I'll do a ranking of the complete group of sixteen of round 4 next week. The third match-up was a difficult choice. The first two are as easy as they get. In the fourth match-up I did like Us, but it still isn't really close.

1. Art Angels > 4. 13
A tough matchup. 13 has the power of Tender and Coffee + TV behind it, which are two of my favourite songs, but I'm not so keen on a lot of the rest of the album.
Meanwhile, Art Angels doesn't have the history with me that the Blur songs do, but the entire album experience is amazing - I've been listening to it on many of the 3 hour drives I've needed to take the last few months. It might be my favourite album left in the match-ups.
3. VU < 2. The Colour and the Shape
It's a bit harsh to call VU a B-sides album, since given the backstory it's closer to a lost album than anything else. A worthwhile one at that - it's great all the way through.
I can't really articulate why I like the Foos more than their competitors so far - they just sounds good. It's definitely not the most consistent album, and I'm not huge on some tracks, but I love others. The Everlong/Walking After You double up is probably my favourite part.
6.It's My Way < 5. New History Warfare Vol. 2: Judges
Two albums which are beautiful and deep, and reveal more each listen. I prefer the variation in Judges, but this was extremely close.
7. Kyoiku > 8. Us
I think I just don't like Peter Gabriel much outside of So, which is why it's disappointing that the most So-like song here sounds like a parody of Sledgehammer. It's just not very interesting for me. Kyoiku is great, even if it gets a bit samey by the end. Much better than Us.

By the way, I've set up a spreadsheet to calculate the extrapolated standings of the tournament (i.e. ranked by the predicted percentage of the vote it would receive against the overall winner) so when the tournament ends I will post the rankings.
