I'd think "Movies" and "Andromeda" would outrank Weyes Blood's "Everyday", as they did so in our 2019 poll.

"The Suburbs" by Arcade Fire made the top 2000 in our last all-time poll, I can imagine it will make the top 100 here.

I think Lonely Boy in the top ten is a pretty bold prediction. But yeah, I'll do the same if Dancing On My Own isn't number one.

While I would be absolutely elated if it did, there's no way "Ship to Wreck" is going to make the top 100.

I would be surprised if Lonely Boy IS in the Top 10. I feel like it’s aged the worst of all the AMF #1s, except maybe Humble.

I really don’t think Dancing On My Own is gonna be #1 either, specifically because I don’t think that it’s considered the best song of 2010 by the forum over Runaway.

Help me out here, what songs do you see potentially getting first?
Here’s the list I’ve come up with as songs I could see winning:
Kanye West | Runaway
Lana Del Rey | Video Games
M83 | Midnight City
Daft Punk | Get Lucky

Aside from these, I honestly can’t see any others (that I’m thinking of) actually winning.

If this is true, Krurze better start getting some hair dye :D Honestly though, I think Dancing On My Own has a much better shot than Runaway, regardless of how those placed on the mid-decade poll.

I was thinking Good Intentions Paving Company has a chance of surprising people with a top 50 placement, but I guess that shouldn't be a surprise at all given it was 17th in the 2010-14 poll. I should have remembered that, since I ran the poll!

So about the questions about albums with 3 songs or more :

Melodrama already has 2 and will have (at least) 2 more, same for Channel orange.
Plastic Beach already has 4, so does The Age of Adz, but I guess that's it for both
Yeezus has 3 and will have more
High Violet has 3 and its best and most beloved song hasn't appeared yet
Benji has 3, but that's it I suppose. Same for blonde.
This Is Happening should have at least 3, so will Art Angels.
The Suburbs has 2 and will I guess have 2 more
Good kid m.a.a.d city and To Pimp a Butterfly could have 3 each too.
Born to Die has 2 and will have 1 or 2 more
I would bet on RTJ2 getting one more too, though I'm surprised it got to top 200
The Next Day already has 2 and will have at least 1 more, Black Star hasn't shown up yet but could do 3 too (2 is a given)
Not too sure about Robyn, 1 already appeared, another one will be top 10 but I wonder if Call Your Girlfriend could still show up. Let England Shake is in a similar situation.
There might be a small hope left for Halcyon Digest
I would guess Carrie and Lowell will have 3 too but I'm less confident, same for American dream, In Colour and Sometimes I sit.

Someone commented on Plastic Beach having one more song, I guess On Melancholy Hill ? But that doesn't seem like a given (I mean maybe if I browsed the voting thread it would but without looking at it it doesn't)

Plastic Beach is definitely getting one more through "On Melancholy Hill".

Also, what's the other Melodrama song you expect to appear? We already have "Liability" and "Perfect Places" and "Green Light"'s placement is a given, but what's the other song?

I thought he meant Homemade Dynamite, but maybe I’m the only one who likes that song so much...

I definitely missed Giorgio by Moroder, I thought of it just today.

And if Good Intentions Paving Company was that high at the mid-decade, then I definitely missed that one too.

I was totally wrong about Bad Girls, lol. Did M.I.A. drop harshly in regard over the decade or something?

For what it is worth, I voted for The Louvre and Homemade Dynamite too. And not for Perfect Places, Liability and Green Lights. It's one of my favorite albums of the decade, where I like each and every song, but oddly enough Green Lights might be my least favorite.

Then again, I am probably a weird one, as in that I only voted for a single song that Holden sees as a likely #1 (Video Games, predictably) and I also didn't have Dancing on My Own on my list. Or anything by Kanye West.

Songs still outstanding that I am rooting for (beyond the obvious ones):
Burial - Ashtray Wasp
Julia Holter - Feel You
Nils Frahm - Says
Kamasi Washington - Truth
Kate Tempest - Tunnel Vision
Sufjan Stevens - Mystery of Love

I'd expect most of these to land in the next batch of 50.

Given its placement in the all-time polls, I still think there's a very real chance that "Swimming Pools" could make the top 100.

So I was right about this. One thing I could not have predicted, however, was not only "Los Ageless" making the top 100, but doing so ahead of "Digital Witness"!

I'm missing one song in the top 100! It might be Stylo, but I'm not sure.

I love Midnight City, but I'm hoping we get another winner.

I'm starting to have doubts about Fourth of July.

I wasn't expecting "DNA" to place higher than "Humble," but I'm completely in favor of that outcome.

I suspect Fourth of July to be in the 90s-100 range.

I know that "Step" and "...in Paris" will also be in the top 100. Maybe "We Found Love"?

We found Love has already placed, around 190, I believe?

I think Shake It Off by T-Swift will make it, since Blank Space and All Too Well nearly did.

Add "Song for Zula" to the list and we should be at 99.

EDIT: and I believe "Somebody That I Used to Know" brings it up to 100!

A bit sad only one High Violet song is likely going to make it in.

I've gone through and totaled the number of songs in our top 100 by year. Here we go:

2010: 21
2011: 11
2012: 10
2013: 13
2014: 8
2015: 15
2016: 8
2017: 5
2018: 3
2019: 6

Some interesting coincidences here (2013 has 13 songs, 2015 has 15 songs). But man, is this just anti-recency bias or did the 2010s really fall off quality-wise in the last 3 years? 2010 alone has almost as many songs in our top 100 (21) as 2016-2019 (22). Was 2010 just that great of a year? (Well I think so at least).
