Strongest bracket yet, I had to leave off a few that probably would have placed top 3 in the last 4 regions.

2. Belle and Sebastian
3. David Bowie
4. Arcade Fire
5. Queen
6. Little Richard
7. Wu-Tang Clan
8. The Everly Brothers
9. Vampire Weekend
10. Buddy Holly

BTW, PJ Harvey at # 1 is not a strategic vote. Tough group nearly head to toe, but she is clearly the best.

This region is very strange...Dr. Dre, Chuck Berry, Pj Harvey and Motley Crue all in one place?
1- Queen
2- Guns N' Roses
3- David Bowie
4- Elvis Presley
5- Def Leppard
6- The Strokes
7- Little Richard
8- Chuck Berry
9- Buddy Holly
10- Lou Reed

5-10 are more or less interchangeable.

That's a lot of great names that were shown the door. That region was stacked. Have you ever thought about seeding after the initial rounds instead of keeping the region theme in tact?

I did think about reseeding based off point totals from the 1st round, but since the amount of voters were not uniform all the way across the board I felt it better to keep the genres intact. I did try to space out the "heavyweights" into the regions so when we get down to the final 64, 32, 16 etc... there is some balance.

It does play out more like the NCAA tournament this way with bands from genres that don't get as much acclaim getting in to face the powerhouses. Maybe we could do a side tournament like the NIT for the bands that were eliminated this round. That might be fun.
