Not bad and I like Pedestrian at Best, but I am not very impressed ny her debut.

I've had "Nobody Really Cares If You Don't Go to the Party" on repeat since I first heard it. Great chorus, great intensity. And then she can do gentler numbers like "Depreston" just as well

Listening to it right now. It's pretty good, catchy. It has that Pavement/Liz Phair off-key melody thing where they're trying to sell the attitude rather than the melody. It's pretty successful but some of the songs come off more as 'Fashionable counterculture' rather than being sincere.

I thought this was pretty good. Nothing less, nothing more. I guess I don't like indie rock as a genre very much.
I feel like that

I have so much Courtney Barnette music/merch I could start a shrine to her. I have seen her live five times and each one of them was a memorable experience.
Elevator Operator is a song I fell in love with by the halfway mark. This brilliant opening track sets the mood for the first (and better) half. Depreston perfectly sums up the housing market bubble in Australia at the moment, difficult to enter and depressing.
Even the songs on the second half that I didn't like that much at first have grown on me (Aqua Profunda! and Dead Fox). The only song I haven't warmed to is Boxing Day Blues, which I think is because it comes right after weighty Kim's Caravan so it seems like a bit of a throwaway.
