Ideally critical acclaim would be completely independent from popularity and wouldn't be influenced either way.

Critics being human, they can't detach themselves from their financial incentives and biases.

I couldn't find Tyler, The Creator and St Lenox physical. I hope the shift to all streaming and digital doesn't make physical completely phased out anytime soon. Still want that physical copy so I'm not dependent on the company continuing to stream my favorite albums to be able to hear them.

St Vincent has taken over my #1 spot. On track for a two album AOTY streak.

I listened to it again and compared it to some other 50s rock. I stand by the statement that it has the same compostion, chord structure and vocal melodies as the other popular rock of the time. But the guitar does stand out a bit more.
