Bee Gees - Love You Inside Out: 6
I have no nostalgia for this. I'm sure I heard it before, but it never quite registered like the Bee Gees greatest songs. It's a fine disco type of ballad. I don't mind hearing it, but wouldn't chose it over numerous of their other songs.

Holden is among the lucky ones to see their highest ranked eligible song appear here. The song just edges outside his top 10. It also is the first AM ranked song in a good while; you can find it at #5016.

138. New Order – Love Vigilantes
Year: 1985
Album: Low-Life
Biggest Fan: Holden (#11)

New Order – Love Vigilantes

4

This song just doesn't do it for me. Not exactly an "If Ever You’re in My Arms Again" New Order has done some amazing work, they have some strong elements like the singer; but I've listened to Power, Corruption & Lies, Low-Life, and Technique, and didn't get very much out of it.

New Order – Love Vigilantes: 8
I've never really did a deep dive into New Order's catalogue so I only know a few of their most famous songs. I thought of them as exclusively a dance band that pioneered in electronics. This is not that. It is still danceable, but I didn't expect an overall folk sound mixed with some post-punk. It was a pleasant surprise too!

Nassim has sung the praises of Car Seat Headrest before and now he gets to introduce us to one of their songs. It is too recent to be on the AM list, but considering it only ranks at #496 on the EOY spreadsheet I think we won’t see it on the main site soon.

139. Car Seat Headrest – Can’t Cool Me Down
Year: 2020
Album: Making a Door Less Open

Your #85. After that there is a very big gap, until #214 and then #293. After that your unique picks become a little bit more frequent.

Mostly this is a pretty cool song, but the murmuring part in the middle takes it down a notch.

Dexter isn’t alone in nominating a lot of classical music this time. Geoffrey has a lot eligible classical pieces too. Also, of all people who had two songs appear in this edition of Biggest Fan is there a bigger contrast between Geoffrey’s previous Iggy Azalea and Charli XCX song and today’s opera prelude?
As per usual with classical, the recording on the playlist is just what Spotify decides to feed me.

140. Richard Wagner – Lohengrin WWV 75: Prelude to Act 1
Year: 1850
Opera: Lohengrin
Biggest Fan: Geoffrey (#36)

A more subtle side of Wagner. Very soothing, even if I'm not sure I "get it" yet.

In the current mini-trend of sentimental 80's and 90's ballads in this game this one is surprisingly tolerable. I don't have much more to say in its defense though.

Mildly surprised to see that today’s song only had one vote in our polls. Then again, it is only bubblin’ under on AM. Perhaps only maverick470 can appreciate it’s worth.

One of the best tracks on The Joshua Tree. I actually prefer it over several of the bigger songs from that album. I never noticed before how much it reminds me of a Bruce Springsteen song.

As usual, I don't vote for classical music, especially when they are only parts of a more complete work... for me, it's impossible and the genre is too different to be rated in the same way as a pop (in the broad sense) or even jazz work.

116. Pauline Oliveros, Stuart Dempster & Panaiotis - Nike 6.5
117. Triángulo de Amor Bizarro - De la monarquía a la criptocracia 7
118. Tocotronic - Explosion 7
119. Los Corraleros de Majagual – La Yerbita 5
120. Blood Orange - You're Not Good Enough 7.5
121. Bon Jovi – Never Say Goodbye 4
122. Radiohead - Bloom 7
123. Burial – Rough Sleeper 5
124. Dawes – A Little Bit of Everything 4
125. Serge Gainsbourg – I’m the Boy 8.5
126. Coconut Records – West Coast 7
127. gnash, featuring Olivia O’Brien – i hate u, i love u 4
128. Joe Satriani – Always with Me, Always with You 4
129. Ramones – The KKK Took My Baby Away 6.5
130. Felix Mendelssohn | "Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64: III. Allegretto non troppo - Allegro molto vivace" No vote
131. Tracy Chapman – Across the Lines 6
132. Peabo Bryson – If Ever You’re in My Arms Again 3
133. Uncle Tupelo – New Madrid 5.5
134. John Denver – Leaving on a Jet Plane 5.5

Today The Godfather and Tom Waits are joined by Bon Jovi in the group of artists who have two songs in. That’s right: after the recent massive success of Never Say Goodbye, Random.org and Kaue have collaborated to give you another Bon Jovi song! Also, this one was nominated for a Grammy so you’re basically guaranteed to love it.

143. Bon Jovi - Misunderstood
Year: 2002
Album: Bounce
Biggest Fan: kaue (#372)
