Cyprus: Kim Nicolaou-Lady and the Parrot

Since this is arguably the most famous Cypriot song, I had to check ti make sure it was eligible. It is.

With only Moldova and Lithuania left, it is time to address a question I have regarding the process:

Should I do two semi-finals or four?

With 48 songs excluding the Big Five, that leaves 24 songs per semi. I don't know how many people have the time to listen to all of those songs in one week. But if we did four semis, it could unfairly screw over some songs. The way I see it, we have two options.

A) Two semis, but with a longer polling period; perhaps two weeks instead of one. Top 10 of each advance.
B) Four semis, twelve songs each. Top five per round advance.

Which would be the preferred option?

Moldova
Cleopatra Stratan - Ceasu' Bate Iar

Four groups of twelve songs is probably better. I'm just not sure if you can still call that semifinals. Those would be quarterfinals.

Alright. We have every country filled. Not only did AMers have enough patience to accept the tournament, but we filled all the slots. Congratulations.

I am thinking I like the "quarter-final" idea best. But we will still go to straight to the final rather than have another round in the middle. If there are no complaints, we will continue with that format.

Thank you all! The first quarter-final will begin shortly.
