Songs of the 1960s: Bonus Songs
Just like we do for the film polls, we will have a bonus round for the 1960s songs poll this year (as I've announced a few weeks ago).
Anybody who has voted in at least one of the monthly polls can nominate TWO songs that will advance to the final round. You may choose any song originally released between 1960 and 1969 that hasn't advanced to the final round. An overview of those songs can be found below. You may nominate a song from 1969; if it gets into the Top 20 of 1969, I will contact you.
Deadline for this is December 5th and there won't be any extensions.
Choose wisely!

So this has replaced the wild card system? Just want to make sure, because otherwise my vote for Mr. Tambourine Man might be redundant.

Here are many many from 1969. They are ranked as well. Please chose the highest one that doesn't mak the final list.
Neil Young - Cinnamon Girl
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Proud Mary
The Stooges - I Wanna Be Your Dog
If all four of those make the list, chose this one

Mostly 1969 songs I'm not sure will make it to the final round (though they are all fairly likely, except maybe The Partisan).
Nick Drake - River Man (1969)
The Velvet Underground - Pale Blue Eyes (1969)
Led Zeppelin - Babe I'm Gonna Leave You (1969)
Leonard Cohen - The Partisan (1969)
The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced ?
Isaac Hayes - Walk On By (1969)
King Coleman - The Boo-Boo Song (this one would probably get destroyed on the 2nd round but well...)

Re: Songs of the 1960s: Bonus Songs
I was tempted to add Ligeti's Requiem and "The Creator Has a Master Plan," but I don't think there is huge appetite around these parts for 25-30-minute tracks.
Given that...
The Shangri-Las | Past, Present and Future
Scott Walker | The Seventh Seal (which just missed in '69...did we really need 5 tracks from Abbey Road?*)
*guilty as charged for voting for one of those tracks

I wouldn't consider it a 'song' though, even if that line is rather blurry anyway, since I do nominate electronic, jazz and post-rock songs that I would call tracks instead of songs.
