Wow Mixmag EOY Lists are a MESS

Post by TheScientist »

So going through Rocklist's Archive: https://www.rocklistmusic.co.uk/mixmag.html (I've also got an index here) and sbradyman2's Website it looks like Mixmag either never had any EOY lists from 2001-2005 or no one ever recorded them. Nothing on the covers necessarily SAYS they have a tunes of the year on the Jan issue of the next year like most do.

Likewise 2009-2011 looks like they were published such lists but they aren't recorded anywhere on the net. I sent my EOY 2009 scans to rocklist a few years ago but they were never transcribed and are still on my dead blog. Also quite a few even later lists were made into partial Spotify playlists but i don't see any published in full.

I have created an archive to track the years of the magazine itself based on what we know from the covers and the EOY lists that I do have. They also have a ton of great online top genre lists they've been regularly publishing on their website the last several years that are good to go through. Sadly unlike Muzik Magazine (a magazine i greatly preferred in contrast) no scans of full issues or even full size covers exist.

Opening this Mixmag Archive up for whoever can fill in any blanks to this where they exist. Cheers!
